The Megger 242009-18 duplex test lead with helical spring points and current switch is for use with Megger DLRO10HD, DLRO10, DLRO10X, 247000, 247001, and 247002 digital low-resistance ohmmeters. This 18′ (5.5 m) long duplex test lead measure both current and resistance when taking four-wire resistance measurements. The lead has a maximum test current input of 10 amp. The helical spring-point hand spikes compress and rotate to make contact with a conductor. There is 0.4″ (10 mm) between the current and potential probe tips on the duplex hand spikes. A push button on the lead allows current to flow through the spikes.

A test probe, test lead, test prod, or scope probe transmits an electrical signal to a testing device for display and analysis. Designs range from simple test leads with probe-style or clamp-on tips to more complex oscilloscope probes and current detectors.
